‘I think back on when we were in Portland, doing the first film, where no one cared,’ says Elizabeth Reaser, who plays Esme Cullen, loving mother to the vampire Cullen clan. ‘We were running around Portland getting into all sorts of trouble, all hanging out as a group in people’s hotel rooms. So innocent.’ She smiles. Read more…

“There was an action scene I did with Peter [Facinelli] where we were in a battle. We fight together — because we’re a team and he’s so protective he wouldn’t let me fight by myself — it’s pretty intense. We both do some intensely violent things, which was pretty scary. And I didn’t enjoy that stuff. I realized I don’t like pretending to hit people because it kind of makes me feel bad, like what if I hit them [for real]? What if I get nervous? And so the director was like, ‘You’re not getting mad.’ He tried to piss me off and it worked. [Laughs] He started yelling things at me off-camera to genuinely make me mad. So then I got really mad and he was like, ‘Yea!’ It was a weird thing but a great tactic on his part.”
Peter Facinelli just tweeted an absolutely adorable photo of Mama and Papa Cullen from the Eclipse press junket.

How adorable are they?
The Eclipse cast has started off with Creation Entertainment’s TwiTour making their first panel at Los Angeles.
… they answered questions across the board – everything from whether Nikki Reed prefers being blonde or brunette (answer: brunette in real life, but she thinks the Eclipse hairdo is better than the prior films) to what Peter Facinelli thinks would happen if he were his Nurse Jackie character in the Twilight Saga rather than Dr. Cullen (answer: the character would be misdiagnosing Bella and thusly ending the series on the first run, and he’d be on Twitter, and he’d be awfully nervous around the Volturi . . . and you know what Dr. Cooper does when he’s nervous)…
… that Elizabeth Reaser is very sentimental about the Twilight series and just doesn’t want it to end, and that if he had to do something else for a living, Peter Facinelli would still keep himself involved in films – even if it meant working at Blockbuster.

Thanks, TwiExaminer!
How pathetically late are we with the news? So sorry about this – I was away and travelling – was just not possible to update while on road.
Anyhow, so I begin with the basic news roundups – more will follow!
FIRST of all – check out this pretty still from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse -

Moving on to the August issue of Vanity Fair – check out this brilliant photoshoot picture and click here to watch the video:
For the August issue of Vanity Fair, Norman Jean Roy photographed the spooky beauties of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse—five vampires (Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, Elizabeth Reaser, Bryce Dallas Howard) and one lone lady werewolf (Julia Jones). Nancy Jo Sales was on set, where, between takes, the girls mused on the gothic romance that has everyone palpitating.
Elizabeth Reaser, who plays vampire mom Esme, exclaims on the attractive young men of Twilight: “Oh, it gets so old, you have no idea,” says Reaser. “It has no effect on me. They’re all gorgeous and lovely boys. … You just want someone interesting and weird at a certain point. I have a massive crush on Larry David.”
We all know we swept the MTV Movie Awards – yet check out this incredibly awesome video of Elizabeth Reaser campaigning for New Moon before the Awards, thanks to Twilight Saga Fan:
In all of these updates, Peter Facinelli gave an interview to USA Today where he talks Carlisle Cullen’s scarf – and Rob/Taylor/Kristen:
So for Twilight and its sequel, New Moon, Carlisle almost always wore some sort of dangling swatch. However, the director of this summer’s Eclipse, David Slade, was not a big fan.
“He thought it was getting to be like Mickey Mouse ears,” says Facinelli of his signature apparel. But instead of just putting them in storage, the actor thought it might be better if he first made some sort of statement on-screen. “It’s a scene where I go to the werewolves for help. I take the scarf off. I wanted to show him standing before them naked and vulnerable.”
Back to Liz – and I love posting updates about Mommy Cullen – where she, along with Nikki Reed, talks Fashion and shooting in ‘Eclipse’:

The MTV Movie Awards and more Eclipse movie round up will be done later with a master post dedicated solely to it.
Regardless of how chaste the tent scene is, Reaser understands that Twilighters are anticipating it. “I have no realistic idea of what excites people. I’m always surprised,” she said of what fans are looking forward to. “If I were a fan? I’m starting to sound like a sicko, but I would say the tent scene. I mentioned it like five times now. It’s getting weird. That’s my son! I’m happy we’re not really related, so it’s not that weird.
“I’m excited to see the action, like running through the forest,” she added. “I was running on the back of the truck at 30 miles per hour, so I’m excited to see that.”
Remember the LA Times interview and the new photo of Elizabeth, Peter and Nikki? Thanks to L3, we have a couple more HQ photos from the shoot.
