Peter Facinelli is the cover guy on DA MAN, and the magazine has a full interview and feature with the Twilight actor.

Check out the outtakes in the gallery here, and read excerpts of the interview below:

DA MAN: We’ve read that you attended a theater school and had the likes of William H. Macy as a teacher? That must’ve been amazing. What was that like?
    Peter Facinelli:
William H. Macy was a guest lecturer and brought along Felicity Huffman when he would do lectures. As a young actor you’re looking to these people who have done prestigious work and it was very inspirational.

DA MAN: How much has your life changed after starring in the Twilight franchise?
Peter Facinelli: My life hasn’t changed much, just gotten a lot busier!

DA MAN: There have been vampire and werewolf stories for decades (even centuries) in literature and TV and films, but none has been as wildly popular as Twilight. As an insider to the whole thing, have you ever tried to analyze why there is such incredible popularity with Twilight?
Peter Facinelli: Not really, I’m just ecstatic that the fans have embraced the series as much as they have. I was a fan of the book series as well. When I read the first book, Twilight, it was this Romeo and Juliet story with a vampire backdrop. The vampire world is secondary to the emotional core of the story.

DA MAN: Before you began your own journey with, had you read Stephenie Meyer’s books?
Peter Facinelli: I hadn’t read Twilight until I was up for the role. I read the book right before I went in to meet with [Director] Catherine Hardwicke and audition for the part.

DA MAN: What has been the craziest or most challenging scene for you and why?
Peter Facinelli: The most challenging scene was the stitching scene in New Moon because I had to learn how to stitch someone up and really had to do the stitches. The day we were shooting the scene, I realized I had to wear my [colored] contact lenses and I couldn’t see. It is very difficult to stitch with limited vision.

DA MAN: As an established writer yourself, when did you realize that you enjoyed writing scripts and your own stories?
Peter Facinelli: Probably in my mid-twenties. I was reading a lot of scripts that were getting made that I wasn’t really passionate about. I thought if these were getting made, maybe I could tell a story that I was passionate about and I started writing scripts more out of frustration.

DA MAN: Given your hectic schedule now with Twilight-related activities and the TV show Nurse Jackie, how do you find the time to write?
Peter Facinelli: I write a lot at night, I feel like my creative process works really well at night. After a long day, I’ll be in bed and I’ll just start typing until my fingers get tired. During the day, I’m thinking about what I’m going to write. A lot of my creative energy is stored throughout the day and then basically comes out and writes itself.

DA MAN: Aside from portraying the mature and sensible Dr. Carlisle Cullen, you are also in TV’s Nurse Jackie as the socially aloof Dr. Fitch Cooper. Do you find it hard to switch between the two totally different characters?
Peter Facinelli: No, I find it really fun to be able to switch gears. The past three Twilight films I’ve shot simultaneously with Nurse Jackie. It was really fun for me to be on one set doing one character and then getting on a plane three or four days later and doing another. It’s exciting for me to switch back and forth between them.

DA MAN: Have you ever had one character’s personality rub off on the other from one project to the next?
Peter Facinelli: No, because all of the characters that I’ve played have been so distinctly different that they really don’t affect one another.

DA MAN: Out of the whole Twilight franchise, which movie is your favorite and why?
Peter Facinelli: Well it’s a little hard to say, but I like Eclipse because I got to do a lot of action stunts. I will hold my judgment until after I see [the next] Breaking Dawn.

Elizabeth Reaser talks The Twilight Saga, Esme Cullen and more!
Posted By Tanvi | On Nov 16, 2011 | Filed Under: breaking dawn, elizabeth reaser

In a great, detailed new interview with MySpace, Elizabeth Reaser chats about Esme’s inner badass, defending Bella’s ‘right to choose,’ the dangers of filming a big action sequence when you’re deathly afraid of heights, and why ‘Breaking Dawn’ made her become a fan of the movies all over again:

MYSPACE: This film has all the book’s really shocking moments, like the sex scene, the birth scene. Was there any trepidation entering into this, like “Okay, we’re going to do this.” What was that like for you coming in as an actor?
    .
ELIZABETH REASER: You know, it was fun, I mean, it was different. It put us in different situations as actors and we were suddenly dealing with blood and things that we hadn’t really been dealing with, even though we’ve been playing vampires all these years. So I thought it was really fun and I think that Bill handled it so brilliantly. I mean, we also knew we were in great hands and that was going to be tasteful and riveting and scary freaky, and I think that that’s what it is. I think he was able to make it this really high-end kind of movie and yet it still has all these scary freaky sexy moments in it and – he’s amazing.

MYSPACE: As Esme you are mama bear and you’re going to protect Bella! And you get an action sequence in order to do that!
    .
ELIZABETH REASER: (laughing) You know, it was so, so scary, because there was one point, and I don’t know if you even see this in the movie, but I was in a harness and I was hanging over a natural river, a real river – like off of a cliff! And nobody actually told me before I went to go shoot this thing, which I think was probably a very good move, but I remember calling the producer on the day and I was like, “Do you know that I’m hanging over a river off a cliff?” And we were laughing about it later, because I have a real fear of heights. So I was flipping out. But then it actually was so fun – and then you could see it all put together and you know, it’s worth it, because you know, I want Esme to have those moments. And I think that Bill was really committed to Esme being stronger in this movie, because I think a lot of times in the past Esme sort of like literally been in the background and or the side of the room or something and not as present. And I think that that to me wasn’t always believable. I think that she’s probably the strongest person in the family. And you know, actually this is the first time you see her and Carlisle not agree about something – He’s very much not in favor of Bella having this baby and I’m very much in support of whatever Bella wants, so it’s caused a rift in our relationship. We haven’t fed and we were having a lot of tension in our marriage, so I think it was cool that Bill really saw that and saw that even just physically that Esme was a stronger character.
    .
MYSPACE: Is there anything in you that relates to that experience of fighting for something you love? Were you able to tap into a personal experience?
    .
ELIZABETH REASER: Yeah, I have two sisters and I have nephews and I think they could be like the most irritating person in—in your world for a moment, but if anyone ever did something to hurt them, you know, you just instantly, it’s not anything you think about, it’s not a conscious response, it’s a completely involuntarily response to protect the people that you love. And I think that Esme’s built that way, you know? That’s her whole makeup.
    .
And you know, this is her world, more than anyone. I think the family is the most important thing to her and so she’s extremely vulnerable more than anyone in that sense and wants to have this grandchild.

If you're unsure of why we require monetary donations, then you should know that we do require funds for new layouts, high res photos and magazines to scan any Twilight related articles, and all this combined does cost a lot and is getting expensive by the day for us to shell out all the money ourselves.
